House Party Anyone?
On March 1st, I was invited to a Joanne Fluke Blackberry Pie Murder House Party (say that fast three times). I received my invitation via Facebook and was instantly interested as I had read a good amount of the books that contain the adventures of super sleuth, Hannah Swenson.
I signed up and was told that I would get a “swag bag,” at t
he event and wasn’t sure what that meant but figured it would be fun as it contained items concerning the books.
The host had the party at a pottery store so we were able to paint pottery, eat and socialize. I loved the books as they were good mysteries and always contained recipes that are super delicious. I baked 6 dozen Chocolate Chip Crunch Cookies, which were in the first book of the series.
The party turned out to be a lot of fun and my swag bag contained some wonderful goodies.
One of my favorite goodies was a pamphlet that contained some of the recipes from the series and of course, I will now be baking for the next couple of weeks.
So, after having a lot of fun at the party, I decided to do a little research on House Party:
House party can be found at www.houseparty.com. You can choose from any party they have that is available to you and apply for it. There are a limited amount of parties allowed and each of them are sponsored by different products and brands.
After you are selected you are given different tools to invite your friends to your party and you get exclusive products to share with your friends at the event.
Another fun aspect of the house party, is that while you are at your party, thousands of others are having a party on that same day for that same product and/or service.
If you are someone that likes to throw parties or know of someone who does, I would totally recommend a house party. I know that I check the site often to see what is available and don’t be surprised if you receive an invite to a party I am hosting in the future.
Just in case you have become super excited about the book after all the house party talk, I have included a link below to Blackberry Pie Murder.
